Request a refund

If you’ve overpaid or have a credit on your account, here’s what you can do to get a refund.

I made a mistake with my payment / I paid my bill twice

If you’ve overpaid your account, or accidently paid your bill twice, you can only request a refund through the organisation that processed your payment.

  • If you paid at an Australia Post store or via the Postbillpay internet or phone service please contact Australia Post on 1300 137 678 or lodge an online enquiry.
  • If you paid via BPay, please contact your bank or financial institution.

If you don’t contact Australia Post or your bank, the excess credit will roll over to your next Western Water bill.

I have two accounts and paid the wrong one

You can request to transfer the funds from one Western Water account to another.

Please complete a transfer or refund request online form. We will contact you within 10 business days with an outcome.


 

I have an EasyPay payment plan and have excess credit

You may be paying too much. Please contact Western Water on 1300 650 422 to review your payment plan.

Alternately, you can request a refund of your credit into your bank account. Please complete a transfer or refund request online form. We will contact you within 10 business days with an outcome.

 

 

I closed the account for my rental property and there was a credit on my final account

You can request a refund of your credit into your bank account. Please complete a transfer or refund request online form. We will contact you within 10 business days with an outcome.
