Western Water's goal is to achieve 100 per cent recycling of all water over time. Reflecting our commitment to sustainability, in 2006 we began referring to our seven Wastewater Purification Plants as Recycled Water Plants, reinforcing the concept that there is no such thing as "waste water".

A dual water supply system is currently being constructed for the new township of Eynesbury, which has about 3000 residential blocks. Class A recycled water will be delivered to each household via a separate pipe to supply residents with water suitable for toilet flushing, garden watering and recreation area watering. This third pipe system will save 1000 megalitres of drinking quality water per year. How to use Class A Recycled Water:
