Melton and surrounds

Western Water currently provides water and sewerage services to over 62,000 residents in and around Melton. By 2023, this population is expected to reach more than 71,000.

Melton is one of metropolitan Melbourne’s priority growth areas. It has seen tremendous growth in the past 20 years and this is set to continue with the Victorian Planning Authority extending Melbourne’s urban-growth boundary in the west.

There are a number of projects planned for Melton. These will ensure we’re able to keep pace with the growing population, comply with all government legislation and standards, and continue to supply quality water, sewerage and recycled water services to our customers.
