Interflow announced as new sewer maintenance contractor

15 February 2018

Western Water have partnered with Central Highlands Water to secure the services of Interflow Pty Ltd for the provision of sewer maintenance and rehabilitation services.

By partnering in a single procurement process, both authorities are sharing expertise, creating efficiencies and achieving value for money for customers in their respective service regions.

Western Water Managing Director Neil Brennan said ageing infrastructure was a challenge for all water authorities, so it made business sense to partner with a neighbouring authority to share learnings and identify efficiencies.

“Some of the shared learning was a better understanding of how we could identify priority assets and reduce administration for all parties,” said Mr Brennan.

Interflow is a leader in the repair, restoration and renewal of non-pressure pipelines and pressure mains across Australia and New Zealand.

Interflow Managing Director, Geoff Weaver, said the company looked forward to working collaboratively with both organisations.

“This contract will not only provide both authorities with efficiencies through economy of scale, it will allow us to support local economic growth by using local resources and training local people as part of the delivery process," he said.
