Invitation to be involved with Western Water

1 August 2018

Western Water is inviting community members to apply for its face-to-face Community Engagement Reference Group (CERG).

“We are looking for new members who will be able to provide a direct link between Western Water’s Board and its customers, local businesses and community organisations,” says Graham Holt, General Manager, Customer, Community Relations and Operations.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who has the ability to work collaboratively with others.

“Preferably, members will have established links to local community groups, and will be interested in contributing ideas and taking part in discussions that range from healthy urban waterways to customer service and capital works.

“For more than two years, representatives from Myrniong to Lancefield have made a substantial contribution by providing feedback to Western Water and taking part in discussions about water-related issues that are important to our region,” finished Graham Holt.

The CERG is one of the many ways Western Water provides opportunities for customers to provide feedback and learn about its strategies and projects. Other opportunities include our online panel which has almost 30,000 members, via social media and our contact centre, during speaking engagements at various community clubs and the H2O Café at community events.

Members of the group will be selected through a process including formal interviews and will be expected to comply with the organisation’s Code of Conduct.

A copy of the group’s Terms of Reference, which include further details of the group’s role and the selection criteria for membership, can be obtained here

Written expressions of interest close on 28 September 2018 and can be sent to Western Water, PO Box 2371, Sunbury DC VIC 3429 or via
