Water and Sewer Services

Western Water treats drinking water to comply with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. Water mains totalling 1,765km delivered 10,251 megalitres of drinking water to customers in 2010/11.

Waste water is treated to produce recycled water as well as biosolids, an alternative agricultural fertiliser. Sewer mains totalling 1,120km removed 8,442 megalitres of waste water from customers during the last financial year.
