Western Water's charges are reviewed annually and approved by the Essential Services Commission, the independent economic regulator of essential services. The charges listed below are applicable from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012.
Water and Sewer Service Charges
All property owners who have Western Water's water, recycled water and/or sewer services available to them are required to pay a service availability charge. This includes vacant land where the property is not yet connected to the services but have the services available to use.

Water Usage Charges
Residents are required to pay for their water usage based on the average amount of water used each day over the billing period (4 months) after their meter has been read. Non-residential customers are charged at a single rate equivalent to Block 2 of the residential rate.
Residential charges, per kilolitre (1000 litres)
- Block 1 (0 - 440 L/Day): $1.3838
- Block 2 (441 - 880 L/Day): $1.8358
- Block 3 (881+ L/Day): $3.6717
