Melbourne Water Community Grants

Each year, Melbourne Water offers community groups and councils funding to support work improving the health of land, biodiversity and water resources in the Port Phillip and Westernport region.

Water for the Future Funding

Through Water for the Future, the Australian Government is investing in a range of programs over 10 years to address four key priorities: taking action on climate change; using water wisely; securing water supplies; and healthy rivers and waterways.

National Solar Schools Program

The National Solar Schools Program is giving Australian schools a head start in tackling climate change and conserving our precious water supplies. The program offers grants of up to $50,000 (GST exclusive) to install solar and other renewable power systems, solar hot water systems, rainwater tanks and a range of energy efficiency measures.

Following the very high demand for funding from this program in 2009/10, in October 2009 the Department temporarily suspended the program to new claims. The program will re-open to new claims early in the 2010/11 financial year.

Junior Landcare Grants Program

Through the Junior Landcare Grants Program, any school or organisation that would like to involve their students in Landcare projects, in conjunction with local Landcare groups, can apply for grants to assist them with the cost of their projects.

Rebates

There are a range of State Government and Federal Government rebates available for water saving products and services.
