LIVING VICTORIA Rebate Program
Western Water customers who buy and install water smart products in their home or garden can receive rebates through the Living Victoria Rebate Program.
For small businesses: new Rebate program
For the first time, small businesses are able to apply for rebates on water saving purchases, under the Living Victoria Rebate Program. For information on the rebates and to see which products and businesses are eligible, please visit the Living Victoria Water Rebate Program website. (Please note: by clicking on this link, you are leaving the Western Water website)
To claim your rebate, you must send receipts, or proof of purchase, together with the below Rebate Application Form to Western Water, to receive the rebate as a credit on your water bill.
For RESIDENTIAL HOMES: HAVE YOU made a purchase on or after 1 july 2011?
If so, then you could be entitled to a rebate under the current Living Victoria Rebate Program. The full list of rebates available for purchases made on, or after 1 July 2011, are as follows:
- Dual-flush toilet - $100
- Washing machine with 5 star water (WELS) and 4 star energy ratings - $150
- Pool cover with roller/reel - $200
- Water efficient showerhead - up to $20
- Permanent greywater system - $500
- Rainwater tanks meeting Australian Standards, connected to toilet and/or laundry - $500 to $1000
- Rainwater tank to toilet/laundry connection - $200
- Water conservation audit - $50
- Hot Water Re-circulator device - $150
- Basket of goods - $30 when $100 or more is spent
To claim your rebate, you must send receipts, or proof of purchase, together with the applicable Rebate Application Form to Western Water, to receive the rebate as a credit on your water bill.

Note: a Reticulated Supply means that you have a water meter at your property and receive services from Western Water.
FOR RESIDENTIAL HOMES: WAS YOUR PURCHASE MADE PRIOR TO 1 JULY 2011?
Purchases made prior to 1 July 2011 are only eligible for a rebate if they meet the criteria in the below document (the previous Water Smart Gardens and Home Rebate Scheme). All rebate claims for purchases made prior to 1 July 2011 must be submitted by 30 September 2011.
