Showerhead exchange program 

Showers account for around 30% of household water use.

Save water, energy and money: replace your old inefficient showerhead (using up to 20 litres of water per minute) with a FREE water efficient showerhead (using 9 litres of water per minute).

To get FREE water efficient showerhead/s for your home:

1. Register: Call Western Water on (03) 9218 5544. If you rent, you must ask the property owner to register on your behalf. You will receive a letter confirming your registration and providing details of showerhead exchange points.
2. Exchange: Sign the letter and take it, with your old showerhead/s, to an exchange point. You will receive a free water efficient showerhead and Western Water will recycle your old showerhead.
3. Install: Your new showerhead comes with simple instructions for installation.

• The showerhead exchange program is for Western Water customers only
• Up to two showerheads are available per property
• The showerheads are not suitable for customers with gravity fed or low pressure hot water systems. 

With the assistance of the Shire of Melton, Moorabool Shire Council and Macedon Ranges Shire Council, Western Water has established showerhead exchange points in the following locations:

• Bacchus Marsh
• Gisborne
• Melton
• Romsey
• Sunbury
• Woodend
