Water and Sewer Services

Western Water treats drinking water to comply with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. Water mains totalling 1,855 km delivered 11,260 megalitres of drinking water to customers in 2011/12.

Waste water is treated to produce recycled water as well as biosolids, an alternative agricultural fertiliser. Sewer mains totalling 1,149km removed 8,211 megalitres of waste water from customers during the last financial year.
