Western Water has standpipes located in five towns across the region which can be accessed by authorised customers such as water carters and local councils. In addition, these customers can take water from approved hydrants if standpipe access is not available.

Authorised water carters must display a sticker on the side of their tank clearly showing the Western Water logo and permit number.

Any customer wishing to access water from standpipes and approved hydrants must have a valid water permit.
