Business Performance Data Analyst

  • Fixed Term role until July 2020, Full Time (Monthly RDO)
  • Salary $81,520 - $91,438 plus 9.5% superannuation (Depending on experience)

Our Strategy Team is currently seeking a Business Performance Data Analyst who has attention to detail and a hunger for business process improvement.  The role will redesign Western Water’s data collection and storage processes and interpret data to generate insights and improve business performance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collate data from multiple sources and capture processes to create a single source of truth for key data sets.
  • Develop and collate Corporate Obligations Reporting data sets.
  • Establish key metrics, rules/logic, sources of data and data owners for each external regulatory reporting obligation.
  • Analyse various types business performance data to establish trends, issues and areas for improvement and provide detailed analysis of performance trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Create a current business process map of all datasets including mapping master datasets to all regulated reports.
  • Liaise with all business areas and core business specialists to ensure cross-functional information being reported is accurate and complete.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in data science, business analytics or equivalent
  • Data analysis experience, preferably in a utility or regulated environment
  • The ability to effectively prioritise and achieve deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with all levels of the business and understand the organisational needs

Trade Waste & Backflow Advisor

  • 12 month fixed term role
  • Full-time with monthly RDO
  • Salary $68,770 -  $79,979 plus 9.5% superannuation (Depending on experience)
  • Support Western Water’s backflow and trade waste customer and data management centre

Our Commercial Services Supply Team is currently seeking an enthusiastic professional with a vision for improvement and a genuine interest in contributing to better customer and community outcomes. This hands on role is the central point for our backflow and trade waste customers and contracts.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Liaison with customers, including face to face contact to initiate backflow and trade waste compliance ensuring the terms and conditions of trade waste agreements are followed
  • Contribution to process improvement and continual review as the team creates new systems and processes to manage contracts
  • Negotiation and ongoing administration of contracts and managing relationships with trade waste and backflow customers
  • Representing Western Water to its customers, maintaining a professional manner and upholding Western Water values at all times

The successful applicant will have:

  • Knowledge & experience in backflow and trade waste acceptance criteria
  • A positive outlook, with an ability to support others and demonstrate cultural behaviours that align with Western Waters values
  • Ability to identify and easily adapt to changing priorities and processes to keep up with business and customer demand
  • The ability to prioritise and achieve deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with all levels of the business and our customers and understand both the organisational and customer needs
  • Previous Water Industry experience will be an advantage

IT Projects Coordinator

  • Full time role with monthly RDO
  • Salary $109,362- $122,433 plus 9.5% super
  • Play a key role in Western Water’s Program Management Office

Our Program Management Office (PMO) is currently seeking an energetic person who is passionate about project management to lead the successful delivery of the organisation’s IT projects.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Leading the IT projects team to deliver project within planned timeframes and on budget
  • Building and developing the team to enable successful delivery of IT projects
  • Coordinating and preparing project progress reports and other project related documentation
  • Undertake program management to coordinate the effective delivery of IT Projects
  • Undertake project management of IT projects
  • Contribute to policy, strategic and operational decision
  • Taking a lead role in building a continual improvement culture

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business or a related field
  • Extensive experience in project management, project management certifications would be an advantage
  • Experience in coordinating teams and applying program management
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
