IT Business Analyst

  • Full time permanent role

Our Technology Team is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst who is passionate about delivering outcome based, customer centric solutions to join their small team to ensure the successful delivery of our organisations Technology Portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders in order to understand and elicit requirements and translate business requirements into specific functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops and validate business requirements, design and configuration
  • Manage and develop stakeholder relationships through effective communication to define business requirements to enable informed business decisions and service improvements
  • Lead the articulation of business requirements and facilitation of business and system solutions
  • Collaborate with various project, technology & customer teams
  • Work with stakeholders to support go-live deployment and transition to BAU
  • Contribute to the development of project artefacts (e.g. implementation plans, requirement gathering, specifications, change management, user acceptance testing, training) to facilitate the successful outcome of business initiatives

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years IT Business Analysis experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of solution requirements
  • Able to distil business needs to identify fit for purpose options
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with cross functional teams and stakeholders
  • Manage support issues with the customer, testers and the vendor
  • Assess the risk of the proposed solutions and prioritise competing business demands
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and success with meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities, negotiation skills and business acumen

Technical Lead - IT Projects

  • Full time, Fixed Term role (12 months)

Our IT Projects Team is currently seeking a delivery focused Technical Lead who is passionate about technical solutions to join our team. The role will be responsible for ensuring Western Water’s IT projects are delivered to the correct technical specification.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical activities associated with Western Water’s IT projects, ensuring the technical requirements are captured, understood and delivered.
  • Review all architectures and designs to ensure conformance to Western Water IT Principles and Technical Requirements; escalating any design issues as soon as they are evident with the IT Project Manager and Design Authority Facilitator.
  • Create the Technical Requirements documents that outline technical aspects of the systems to deliver on the Business Requirements and in line with IT Principles.
  • Facilitate and deliver technical training to our Digital Technology team and support the transition to production.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Test Leads, Testers and Training Leads to ensure they have the required support to deliver projects.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification and 5 years’ experience in a technical leadership, advisory or delivery role
  • Substantial experience in IT applications management and support or IT Systems configuration and development.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering technical outcomes for multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience and knowledge with project-related disciplines such as Project Management, Business Analysis, Training, Testing etc.
