What did the project involve?

Constructions on the Gisborne Rd Water Main

Construction is now complete on a new  water main on Gisborne Road, Darley, between Lerderderg-Gorge Road and our Bences Road tank site.

The work involved replacing approximately 3km of an old 80mm water main with a new 125mm pipe. The new main will improve service reliability and minimise the risk of bursts on this busy local road.

Construction involved a combination of open-cut trenching and boring underground to minimise the impact on native vegetation. It was completed ahead of schedule and with minimal disruption to traffic and local residents.
