Western Water is upgrading two critical water pump stations in Bulla that supply water from the Melbourne system to Sunbury, Diggers Rest and the Macedon Ranges.
The upgrades will improve service reliability, securing the supply of water for customers well into the future.
Both sites will collectively pump up to 35 million litres of water per day.
The $2.4m upgrade is on track for completion by December.
Western Water will invest around $100 million in capital works across its service region over the coming year to maintain its current network and address the needs of growing customer numbers.
