Macedon and Mount Macedon’s sewage is treated at the Gisborne Recycled Water Plant.
Gisborne Recycled Water Plant produces Class B recycled water.
The recycled water is used to irrigate local farms, sports fields and recreation areas.
Greater Western Water has a licence to discharge excess recycled water volumes to Jacksons Creek under strict conditions set by the Environment Protection Authority.
